Luton Tracker App is a free activity tracker app which allows Social Prescription providers to keep track of participants attending their activity sessions.
The app is part of the Luton Social Prescription programme, set up by Luton Borough Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group. Activity providers that are accredited to support and participate in the programme are able to download the app. The app is easy to use and measures the attendance of patients enrolled on the Social Prescription programme. Patients are given a card with an embedded RFID tag and a QR code printed on them, which allow them to access activities. The card and app act as a digital registration tool – the app on the provider’s phone or tablet reads the unique QR code and records a patient’s attendance at an activity session. This information is sent to a central database which records the type of activity and the patient’s attendance.
